Bacon Cheeseburger Pasta
Ingredients
3 - 4 slices of bacon, chopped
2 pounds ground beef
2 medium onions, diced small
2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1 cup beef broth
1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
1 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
2 teaspoon garlic powder
2 cups elbow noodles
1 1/2 - 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese
Directions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the noodles to al dente per package directions, about 10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- Meanwhile, in a very large nonstick skillet, cook the bacon to crispy and then remove from pan with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
- Add the ground beef and diced onion to the skillet and cook in the bacon grease for about 10 - 15 minutes, until beef is cooked through and onions are tender. Season with the salt and pepper while cooking.
- Once the onions are tender and beef is browned, add in the beef broth, tomato sauce, onion powder, garlic powder and drained pasta.
- Bring dish to a simmer and cook for about 5-10 minutes.
- Stir in the cheddar cheese and stir gently until cheese melts into the sauce.
- Taste, and adjust seasonings if desired.
- Stir in the cooked bacon, or sprinkle over the top before serving.
