Three Cheese Tortellini with Chicken Broth
This is a super easy recipe that was very yummy and I really enjoyed it! Our baby girl (15 months old) loved this one too - she is a big fan of cheesy pasta, and would slurp the broth up too. A couple times I snuck in some diced broccoli or cooked carrots too, to up the nutrition content. This is a very simple, basic recipe that you can easily tweak and adjust. I added some garlic powder, salt and pepper to mine. You could throw some diced, cooked veggies in there as well for a more complete soup.
However, if you enjoy simple flavors - this is a great recipe as is! Really good with a nice crusty piece of garlic bread and a side salad... yumm!
Ingredients
1 (12 ounce) package Barilla® Three Cheese Tortellini
5 cups chicken broth (I suggest homemade broth - we used this)
1/3 cup shredded Parmigiano cheese
1/2 tablespoon chopped Italian parsley
Additional seasonings to taste: salt, pepper, garlic powder, garlic salt, etc.
Directions
- Bring broth to boil. Add tortellini and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Serve in individual bowls topped with Parmigiano cheese; garnish with parsley.
