This is a quick, easy, garlic butter infused mushroom recipe that makes a wonderful side for just about any dish - but especially served with a juicy steak! They belong together. We actually served these with some tasty pork chops and a macaroni and cheese dish - they worked well with that too. They are very versatile, and I loved all the bits of garlic that cling to each mushroom!

Take a look at all these lovely recipes packed with garlic flavor we're sharing with you today!

  • Garlic Mushrooms adapted from Cafe Delites

    Ingredients
    4 tablespoons unsalted butter
    1 tablespoon olive oil
    1/2 an onion, chopped
1 pound mushrooms (I used baby bella, buttons would work well)
    1 tsp dried thyme
    1 TBS minced garlic (jarred)
    Salt and pepper to taste

    Directions
    1. Saute the onions and mushrooms together in the butter and olive oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat for about 5-8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they reach your preferred level of tenderness. Add in the garlic and thyme during the last minute or two, and sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper.
    2. Taste and adjust seasonings if desired.
    3. Serve immediately - or at room temperature.
These are delicious alongside a juicy steak!

    3. I would eat them all! Mushrooms and garlic are great together and I don't even need to put them on anything to enjoy them.

    4. These would work as an appetizer too--with those frilly toothpicks! Yum!

    5. These would be perfect with some grilled steaks or even served as an appetizer to nibble one while grilling the steaks. The flavor combo sounds scrumptious! I'll have to try these next time we grill.
