#OurFamilyTable ~ Garlic Mushrooms
This is a quick, easy, garlic butter infused mushroom recipe that makes a wonderful side for just about any dish - but especially served with a juicy steak! They belong together. We actually served these with some tasty pork chops and a macaroni and cheese dish - they worked well with that too. They are very versatile, and I loved all the bits of garlic that cling to each mushroom!

Garlic Mushrooms adapted from Cafe Delites
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 an onion, chopped
1 pound mushrooms (I used baby bella, buttons would work well)
1 tsp dried thyme
1 TBS minced garlic (jarred)
Salt and pepper to taste
- Saute the onions and mushrooms together in the butter and olive oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat for about 5-8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they reach your preferred level of tenderness. Add in the garlic and thyme during the last minute or two, and sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper.
- Taste and adjust seasonings if desired.
- Serve immediately - or at room temperature.
These are delicious alongside a juicy steak!
