Good Reusable Pouch Snacks for Toddlers

I love homemade baby food and reusable pouches! We have been making baby food for Lindsey since she was able to start solids, so it was natural to add some reusable pouches into our arsenal of baby food prep / storage items.

We have some smaller pouches that are side fill, which I like, and I also received the eco-friendly reusable pouch by Babyfloret (Amazon link below) to try out recently. This pouch is absolutely adorable, and I love that the back is somewhat see through so you can tell how much is left, and be reminded of the contents if needed (you can also write on the back - date and contents - which is great for sending items to daycare, or making large batches so you remember what is in the pouch and when it was made).

Serve up anything that is puree texture / consistency in a reusable baby food pouch and let your toddler practice self-feeding and independence. These are terrific for grab and go snacks / feeding as well - car rides, visits to family or travel, and other locations where you aren't able to fresh prepare your little one's normal snacks, meals, sides, etc.

We most often use the pouches for yogurt, and fruit and veggie purees - here are some recipes to give you inspiration:
More combinations I'm hoping to make / try soon:

  • Cinnamon Apple Oatmeal
  • Apple and Carrot
  • Pumpkin, Cranberry, Apple
  • Blueberry, Banana (optional: Oatmeal or Cream of Wheat)
  • Cheesy Grits
  • Sweet Potato, Cinnamon and Apple
  • Pear and Apricot
  • Banana Strawberry
