Snow Days and Week 3 of P90X!
We are on the last week of this particular set of workouts in Phase 1 (today is Week 3, Day 4)! Almost done with THREE full weeks of P90X! I'm excited! I'm seeing a little progress, its still hard to tell, but I have some definition in my biceps that wasn't there before and a few other spots on my body seem to be slimming a little, even if the scale is still being stubborn! I did Arms, Shoulders and Ab Ripper X last night and pushed as hard as I could. My stomach is fully healed up now, but my knee is bugging me again. I iced it a lot the last couple days and hope it is feeling better soon. I did a lunge sequence with weights a few days ago, and really aggravated it and it's been recovering ever since that.

We've been snowed/iced in for the past 3 days at home! Today is my first day actually in the office this week, and the roads are still very icy and scary to drive on. It took a long time to get here, but I made it. I was nervous the whole way though. There are stretches of solid ice on the freeway that people were driving on... Kent and Kenneth have been off school all week so far as well - Kenneth's first week back to college for his final semester and it's been closed!!
We have the 17th off for Martin Luther King Jr. Day, so we get a nice long weekend. I'm looking forward to the weather warming up and maybe going camping the next time we have a long weekend. We've been talking about it quite a bit - we've only gone a couple times in the past few years and I am hoping we'll go more often this year! I loved camping when I was little and I know Kent enjoys it and its something we can take the dogs with us that isn't that expensive either. Kenneth and I just have very differing opionions on what "camping" should be - but hopefully we'll find a compromise we can both be happy with so we can get out and enjoy the great outdoors a little once its a bit warmer! :)

Hey after reading your post I thought I would add something. Not that you don't know this...
ReplyDeleteMuscle weighs more than fat, so if you scale isn't budging you are putting on some muscle girl.
I can't wait to see pictures. You did take some b4 pics?
Yes! I definitely have lots of good "before" pictures - just can't wait to have good "after" pictures!! :) I know in my head there is a reason I'm not loosing much yet, but its still aggravating when I'm putting so much effort into it! I know eventually the scale will have to catch up with my effort, I can't stay at this number forever if I continue working out and eating in the calorie range I'm sticking to! Just wish that time was now, and not later...! :D
ReplyDeleteI started p90x a week behind you and my scale is not budging either...but it is because I'm eating too much. I didn't take any before pics because I started 4 weeks postpartum and would be toning up anyway regardless so my results will look better than they actually should.
