Your pregnancy: 23 weeks
Happy week 23 to us!! :) Just one more week and July will be OVER and we'll be on to August!! YAY! I'm so excited! I love watching the days and weeks tick by and my excitement for November and getting to meet Miss "S" just grows and grows as does my belly and her wiggly antics! :) I am definitely feeling stronger movements more frequently, harder bumps and nudges and rolls. It's so exciting to think of all the growing she's doing!
Kent was at his great-grandmother's the last 2 nights, so I met Kenneth for a quick date night last night at the movie theater and we went and saw the new Twilight movie! :) I know he didn't really want to go see it, so I think it was pretty sweet of him to take me and I even caught him laughing and smiling at quite a bit of the dialogue. :) The skies opened up RIGHT when I was getting close to the theater and it was pouring buckets of water when I had to run from the car to the theater and we both were DRENCHED! It stopped by the time we came back out thankfully, but I was happy to get home and change out of my damp clothes!!
I'm glad tomorrow is Friday and am looking forward to a peaceful but hopefully productive weekend! Going to spend some time going through "stuff" and listing a few things on Craigslist, etc. and hopefully starting to get our basement cleared out a bit!
How your baby's growing:I've been noticing some swelling in my feet and ankles, not bad yet, but definitely visible after a long day. I am trying to keep my water intake up and keep pushing fluids to help with it so it won't get much worse and I've been taking Zantac in the evenings to help the ever present heartburn that doesn't seem to want to go away yet. I've been taking Zantac for about 3 or 4 days now and I still get some pretty painful spells, so I definitely am going to stick with it for awhile and see if it will ever completely go away (fingers crossed)!
Turn on the radio and sway to the music. With her sense of movement well developed by now, your baby can feel you dance. And now that she's more than 11 inches long and weighs just over a pound (about as much as a large mango), you may be able to see her squirm underneath your clothes. Blood vessels in her lungs are developing to prepare for breathing, and the sounds that your baby's increasingly keen ears pick up are preparing her for entry into the outside world. Loud noises that become familiar now — such as your dog barking or the roar of the vacuum cleaner — probably won't faze her when she hears them outside the womb.

If Jacob was real, he could've held you and warmed you up in the theater. Jus sayin......... haha
ReplyDeleteHA!! :D That reminds me of what my husband says everytime something Twilight comes up now "You can pet Jacob!" :D Did you see those McDonald's commercials awhile back? It was a Jacob versus Edward thing and one of the girls who was Team Jacob was trying to convince someone to choose Jacob and that was her reason - "You can pet Jacob"! :D Cracks me up!!
