Cheddar Bay Biscuits

These are so delicious!! They are cheesy, and so buttery. Perfect savory biscuits to go alongside your meal. We served them with some chicken and veggie rice soup and it was a lovely accompaniement. Really they'd be great with just about anything.

I think the leftover biscuits could be split to make yummy ham or egg sandwiches too! I might have to try that tomorrow! Store any leftovers, covered, on the counter up to a couple days. Reheats well in the airfryer for a few minutes on 360 degrees!

Cheddar Bay Biscuits

Ingredients
4 cups baking mix (such as Bisquick or Jiffy)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 ⅓ cups water
3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
½ cup melted butter
1 teaspoon garlic powder
¼ teaspoon salt
⅛ teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon dried parsley

Directions
  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the baking mix with the 1/2 tsp salt, water, and shredded cheese; stir to combine with a fork or spatula and then knead the dough until it comes together and all dry ingredients are fully incorporated.
  3. If the dough is tacky, you can use a scoop and scoop dough into about 20 rounds onto a silpat lined baking tray, edges lightly touching. If the dough is dry enough to handle by hand, shape into about 20 2" biscuits, arranged with edges lightly touching on the lined baking tray.
  4. Bake 12 - 14 minutes, or until tops are golden brown and biscuits are cooked through.
  5. During the last few minutes of baking time, blend the melted butter with the garlic powder, salt, onion powder, and parsley.
  6. When biscuits are done, brush the melted butter mixture over the tops of the hot biscuits. You can liberally apply a few times, until all butter is used and soaked in.
  7. Serve warm.
