Welcome to day 3 of #EasterWeek hosted by Bernadette from Rants From My Crazy Kitchen. This week we are celebrating Easter and Bernadette’s blogging anniversary with all kinds of delicious recipes and a giveaway! From appetizers to ham recipes, we have everything you need for a great Easter dinner or brunch, and one lucky winner will receive a $200 Amazon gift card.
Yesterday I shared a delicious Apricot and Mustard ham, and today it's a Sweet Pineapple Glazed version. If you like pineapple with your ham you can't go wrong with this one. A little hint of clove, but mostly delicious sweet pineapple flavor infused into the ham, with lots of pineapple bits alongside.
We ate this ham up in no time - it worked well in a lot of different dishes. I discovered it was actually really good (pineapple and all) alongside some asparagus in a delicious quiche. I was surprised and delighted! This ham would look lovely on any Easter buffet table.

Ingredients
2 (14 ounce) cans pineapple tidbits, undrained
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
Directions
- Pour 1/2 cup pineapple juice from one of the cans into a bowl; reserve.
- Pour pineapple tidbits and remaining juice into a saucepan over medium-low heat. Add brown sugar and cloves. Cook, stirring occasionally, until sauce thickens, about 1 hour. Thin sauce to desired consistency with reserved juice.
** Note - for the ham picture above I halved this recipe and it was plenty, only use the full recipe for a full sized ham.

This is one of my favorite ways to make ham. Thanks for the reminder, yummy!
ReplyDeleteRebekah, this looks yummy! We've got a thick ham slice from one of my favorite Ohio hog farmers that will be our Easter centerpiece this year, and I will follow your suggestions to halve the recipe.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
