Chocolate-Dipped Marshmallows from Real Simple Food

Ingredients
12 marshmallows
2 ounces semisweet chocolate, melted
3 tablespoons toppings (such as chopped nuts, sprinkles, crumbled graham crackers, etc.)

Directions
  1. Have your toppings in individual bows and a silpat or parchment paper laid out to place the marshmallows on.
  2. Melt the chocolate in a heat proof bowl (in small bursts in the microwave works - stirring every 20-30 seconds until fully melted).
  3. Quickly roll the bases / bottom halfs of the marshmallows in the chocolate and then in your toppings. Place on parchment / silpat to cool and dry.
  4. Repeat with all remaining marshmallows. Work quickly as the chocolate will cool and harden quickly.
  5. I found using a spoon to spread the chocolate along the base of the marshmallows worked well as it began to cool!
