Tomorrow is the very last day of this fantastic event - so make sure to check back over the past week's posts and definitely pop in tomorrow for the grande finale. I am sad this one is coming to a close already! It's been a great week of incredible dishes.

This marinade makes for a deliciously rich and satisfying steak dinner which is often a very great dish to serve on Valentine's day for the beef loving man in your life (or woman!) We used thin strip loin steaks which only needed about 3 minutes on each side to cook; it's always nice to be able to do a lot of the work ahead of time with a quick cook time, then you can sit and enjoy your meal with a lovely glass of Woodbridge Pinot to accompany. A great way to end the day!

Red Wine Garlic Strip Steaks adapted from AllRecipes

Ingredients
3 - 4 lbs loin strip steaks

Marinade
1 cup Woodbridge Pinot Noir
1/3 cup soy sauce
2 TBS lemon juice
2 TBS Worcestershire sauce
1 TBS Chablis mustard
2 TBS honey
1 TBS minced garlic
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

Directions
  1. Combine marinade ingredients in a large resealable container. Whisk to combine. Add in steaks, coating steaks on both sides. Seal container and allow steaks to marinate for at least 6 hours, up to overnight depending on how strong you want the flavor (we did one set of steaks after about 6 hours which were good, and another set the following night and I really liked the depth of flavor on the ones that were left in the marinade for a longer period of time).
  2. Preheat grill to medium high heat. Cook steaks to desired doneness.
