Today our #SundayFunday group is hosted by Wendy from A Day In the Life On The Farm who said "Next Sunday is Mother's Day. Share an appetizer that would feel at home on a Mom's Day Brunch Buffet."

These might not be a classic brunch recipe, but when I was looking at appetizer ideas they jumped out at me! I love pizza flavors, and parmesan coated bread bites sounded absolutey delicious and poppable. And they are definitely that. Coated with bursts of garlic and parmesan in every bite. They're the perfect little treat to snack on! Serve with a dish of warmed marinara if you like - or just pile on a platter and watch them disappear. They're delicious warm or room temp.

Parmesan Bread Bites

Ingredients

1 refrigerated pizza dough (store bought or homemade pizza dough)
2 TBS parmesan cheese (grated)

Garlic Butter
5 tbsp butter (melted)
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp dried parsley
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Roll dough into a thin (breadstick thickness) rope, and cut about 1" pieces.
  3. Line them up on a silpat-lined baking sheet.
  4. Combine the garlic butter ingredients together, and brush the bread bites generously (you'll want to reserve some of the butter mixture for when they come out of the oven).
  5. Sprinkle with additional parmesan and bake in the oven about 10 - 12 minutes (depending on thickness, you don't want them to be hard, they should still be soft so keep an eye on them and pull when cooked through and lightly browned).
  6. Brush with remaining garlic butter and serve with marinara to dip, if desired!
