#10DaysofTailgate - Cherry Chipotle Sloppy Joes and Not Chili Cheese Fries!

These two dishes go wonderfully together, and would be equally as fantastic on their own. I hope you will give these a try - the Not Ketchup Cherry Chipotle sauce works some magic in these tasty treats!

The first thing I noticed when I opened the bottle of Cherry Chipotle dipping sauce was the tangy smell of vinegar, and a hint of sweetness. I put a little on my finger to taste and got some heat! Then the heat subsided and a smoky flavor with hints of sweet cherry lingered. Perfect sauce - for SO many things. I am definitely going to have to get another bottle of sauce just to try all the various ways I have thought up to use it in recipes!

Not Chili Cheese Fries

Ingredients
1 28-oz bag seasoned French fries (I used Checkers & Rally's Famous Fries Crispy French Fried Seasoned Potatoes)
1 lb ground beef
1 med. onion, finely diced
1/2 14-oz bottle Cherry Chipotle Not Ketchup dipping sauce
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (more or less to taste)
1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Directions
  1. Bake French fries according to package directions.
  2. Meanwhile, in a large nonstick skillet, cook the ground beef and onion for about 15 minutes, or until ground beef is cooked through and onion is tender. Drain excess grease. Stir in 7 ounces of Not Ketchup Cherry Chipotle sauce.
  3. When French fries are done and crispy, remove from oven and evenly distribute the meat mixture over the top of them. Sprinkle with shredded cheeses.
  4. Return to hot oven for 5 minutes, or until cheese has melted.
  5. Serve hot.

Cherry Chipotle Sloppy Joe Sandwiches

Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 med. onion, finely diced
1/2 14-oz bottle Cherry Chipotle Not Ketchup dipping sauce
6 - 8 sandwich rolls (we used French bread rolls which were wonderful)
optional: Shredded or sliced cheese of choice (mozzarella works well)

Directions
  1. In a large nonstick skillet, cook the ground beef and onion for about 15 minutes, or until ground beef is cooked through and onion is tender. Drain excess grease. Stir in 7 ounces of Not Ketchup Cherry Chipotle sauce.
  2. Slice rolls and spoon meat mixture on bottom half of rolls. If using cheese, place rolls on a baking sheet and sprinkle or layer cheese over meat. Bake in a hot oven (350 degrees) for about 5 minutes, or until cheese has melted and rolls are lightly toasted.
