Stove Top Charred Bell Peppers
This is the first time I've ever made charred bell peppers and they were SUCH a great addition to the recipe I used these in.
They added a very unique smoky flavor, and I loved the way these totally kicked up the flavor profile of these Chorizo Tacos.
Stove Top Charred Bell Peppers
Ingredients
2 - 3 bell peppers
Directions
- Heat stove burner to medium-high heat.
- Use heat proof tongs and rotate the bell peppers often, until evenly charred on all sides.
- Place in a plastic Ziploc bag, sealed, and allow to "sweat" for 15 - 20 minutes or until skin has softened and peels easily, and peppers have cooled enough to handle.
- Peel skins and dice or slice and use in desired recipe.
