37w2d - NINETEEN Days to Go!

I just woke up from a little nap, I love my naps! We had a LONG night last night but had SUCH A GREAT time at our friend's Halloween party! It was really a great day! Started out with a Halloween Potluck and Costume Contest at work which took up quite a bit of the day, getting the room ready, setting all the food up on the tables, and coordinating throughout. We had a good little group dress up (I went as a "Farm Girl") and the food was good; I always love seeing what people will bring to Potluck events! I made "Graveyard Cupcakes" which were a lot of effort, but well worth it - they turned out great! I made chocolate cupcakes, frosted with chocolate frosting, then crushed up chocolate chip cookies in the food processor and sprinkled over the top of the cupcakes to look like dirt. Then I decorated 30 milano cookies with "Boo" "RIP" and crosses and put 1 cookie in each cupcake to look like a Tombstone. I had 2 dessert tins to transport them, and put green paper down on the bottom to sort of look like grass, put the cupcakes in and then arranged gummi worms on and around the cupcakes. They came out super cute!

After clean up and then wrapping up a few other things at work the day was over - it flew by! I swung by the store and picked up a costume for our Friday night Halloween party at our friends house and then hurried home and threw a pan of brownies in to bake. I decided I wanted to use up the gummi worms and chocolate chip cookies I had bought for the cupcakes by doing another "dirt" dish!

Once I got the brownies baking and whipped up a packet of pudding and got that in the fridge to set I got dressed. I went as a pregnant nun!! :) It was really cute and I was pretty happy with how I looked. As soon as the brownies were done I put the pan in the fridge hoping it would cool enough to at least handle before we had to leave a little before 7:00!

Eventually it was about time to go, so I pulled the brownies out and broke it into large chunks and put the chunks in the bottom of a big bowl (and of course, taste tested along the way!! :D ) I put the chocolate pudding over that, and then a good layer of finely ground chocolate chip cookies for the "dirt" and topped with the last of the gummi worms. It was cute (and VERY rich and yummy - though with the brownies being hot they sort of soaked up most of the pudding and the bottom layer kind of turned into rich gooey brownie pudding!!)

We got to our friend's house and enjoyed many hours of conversation, great food, a fantastic bon fire and lots of laughs! There were several people there from Kenneth's unit so he knew people which was nice, so he felt comfortable pretty much right away. I found a spot at the fire and ended up chatting with several different people and really enjoying 2 little girls of one of the guests that found my soft fuzzy coat fun to pet - they were too cute! :)

I ate way too much food - they had such a great spread out! Dave fried a turkey (as a trial run for Thanksgiving! :D ) and that was amazing! There was a Honey Baked ham, shrimp cocktail, ham & cream cheese roll ups, wonderful bread rolls, cheese slices, pickles, chex mix, wheat thins, chicken crackers, LOTS of fresh fruit with caramel and yogurt dip, cake, black olives, veggies and dip... yummmm!!

There were other kids for Kent to run around with the first few hours and he wore himself out and had a great time! Sherry goes ALL out for Halloween and there were tons of great decorations all over the house and outside. There was a lovely little zombie baby in the bathroom that cried at you every time you left the bathroom - and of course I had to visit the bathroom frequently thanks to my limited bladder capability at this point! :D Creepy little thing!!

We didn't leave until I think around 1:15 am - it was a really fun evening. We were exhausted but just had a great time hanging out with everyone and didn't really want to leave!

We all crashed as soon as we got home and gave the dogs a quick potty break, but had to get up at 7:30 to get ready to head to Atlanta for Kenneth's chiro appointment. I went with him and walked the next door neighborhood again while he was getting worked on. I walked about 1.5 miles in about 30 minutes - I remembered to bring the pedometer this time so I could see about how long the walk was. It was really cold this morning, but thankfully I dressed pretty warm so I wasn't uncomfortable - and the cool air helped wake me up a little!

I'm feeling pretty good today - obviously exhausted from staying up so late, and having some lovely sinus headachy/stuffy ear thing going on. The only potential pre-labor stuff has been some gastrointestinal upset this morning and I got a couple good contractions so far today, but not much. Even the whole walk I didn't get 1 good one until the VERY end of the walk! So, nothing much going on in that department today, so looks like we'll definitely get to go trick or treating tomorrow evening!! :)

Your pregnancy: 37 weeks

How your baby's growing:

Your baby is now considered "full term," even though your due date is three weeks away. If you go into labor now, his lungs will likely be mature enough to fully adjust to life outside the womb. (Some babies need a bit more time, though. So if you're planning to have a repeat c-section, for example, your practitioner will schedule it for no earlier than 39 weeks unless there's a medical reason to intervene earlier.)

Your baby weighs 6 1/3 pounds and measures a bit over 19 inches, head to heel (like a stalk of Swiss chard). Many babies have a full head of hair at birth, with locks from 1/2 inch to 1 1/2 inches long. But don't be surprised if your baby's hair isn't the same color as yours. Dark-haired couples are sometimes thrown for a loop when their children come out as blonds or redheads, and fair-haired couples have been surprised by Elvis look-alikes. And then, of course, some babies sport only peach fuzz.
Well we already know Miss S will be sporting a full head of hair - the u/s tech commented on all her hair at our last sneak peek!

We are now truly FULL TERM and ready to enter count down mode!! Yippee!! I can't wait to hear how things look at the appointment this afternoon and I know my IPs are VERY ready to bring their little girl home! I have so many plans for next month and then of COURSE December is going to be crazy, so I am looking forward to knowing WHEN Miss S will arrive so everything else can be figured out...

The next few weekends are already booked up, regardless of baby's arrival, so I'm praying her arrival might be early in the week or something - one can hope and have goals, right?! :D

We have a Halloween party and trick or treating this weekend, Basset Bash next Saturday, Marine Corps Ball the following Saturday and then Kent's 12th birthday party at our house on November 20th, followed by Thanksgiving weekend and then I might be heading out to WA to see my family the next weekend - or I might wait 'til mid-December. I have to talk about that with Kenneth tonight so we can go ahead and firm my travel plans up and I can get my ticket. It's going to be a BUSY couple months - to say the least!! :)

I am feeling good today - pretty tired as per my usual but I woke up in a good mood and excited for our appointment this afternoon! I had some "extra" mucous last night, but still no definitive sign of a mucous plug - I've had a couple painful contractions this AM but I guess that's about it so far!

Hopefully today will pass quickly and quietly - I have to bake a bunch of cupcakes this evening for our Halloween Potluck at work tomorrow and get my outfit ready; I'm debating between my Little Red Riding Hood costume and being Farmer Beka with maternity overalls... we'll see if the Red Riding Hood costume fits and if it looks ok I guess!

I need to get a pumpkin too - we haven't carved one yet and Kent was asking about it last night - in truth I FORGOT! This month has TOTALLY slipped away from me!

36w6d - 22 days to go!

Yippee!! 37 weeks tomorrow!! Feels like I've been counting down to it forever, but at the same time I can't quite wrap my head around the fact that its really here!

I've been extra hungry the last couple days, I almost feel like a squirrel storing up for winter... I feel like I could just eat, eat, eat all day! I think part of it is that Miss S seems to have dropped down a little, giving me some extra space, and part of it is probably that "gearing up for labor" mode and getting in a little extra nutrients now. I've been doing some reading on eating during labor - I'd never really thought about it before! I took hard candies to suck on during labor last time, but didn't use them (I think I didn't move at ALL once I got into the L&D room!) and this time I've packed a couple Luna and granola bars and a package of PopTarts, but was thinking more for after delivery than during. I remember being STARVING right after I delivered and I had to wait a couple hours to get relocated to the post-partum room before they served breakfast, so I wanted to have something ready to go this time - plus wanted to have snacks for Kenneth if he wants something to eat but doesn't want to leave the hospital (ha - like he won't take any excuse he can get to pop out for a little while! :) ) At least the Hospital is on a road that we're very familiar with so he knows everything in the area if he needs to run out for any reason.

I am still having gas this morning and a few contractions, but the newest thing is a very odd metallic taste in my mouth. I thought it was from my travel mug when I was drinking my cup of hot cocoa on the way into work, but then noticed it again when I started drinking my water and can sort of taste it on the back of my tongue now after finishing my bowl of oatmeal! That's a new one...

I'm rocking on my balance ball and hoping very hard for good progress tomorrow... I know labor is probably a week or more away still, it just makes me feel better to hear things that say we're moving in the right direction!! :)

36w5d - 23 days to go!

Tired... sooo tired this morning... I slept pretty good last night but feel wiped out... I had a lot of bad gas yesterday too for no apparent reason and started googling "early labor signs and symptoms"... I'm having a lot of them, but some are just normal late pregnancy type things too... Still a little nauseated this morning and my ears are stuffy again!
I have my chiro appointment in the early afternoon and am very much looking forward to that! I think I might need to grab a quick nap this morning though, not sure if I am going to make it a full day today... I'm just getting to that point where I need more rest I guess.

I had a few real contractions last night, about 3 in one hour and then just a few Braxton Hicks afterwards. No real contractions so far this AM, just a few Braxton Hicks again, that tightening sensation across my upper abdomen.

I am very much looking forward to Thursday's check in and hearing how much progress my cervix is making! I am feeling pretty confident about making it into next week before labor actually starts, but cannot wait to see what continues to happen day by day as my body continues getting itself ready for the big day!! :)

36w4d - 24 days to go!

It was an interesting weekend... I am feeling very much like I'm entering the "pre-labor/warm-up" mode and am tired and feeling restless and a little moody. I've had several nights in a row of having a very hard time sleeping. I fall asleep with hubby in the living room and sleep about an hour and then wake up and can't get back to sleep for a couple hours. Then I'm exhausted... go figure! I tried to make up for it, apparently, by sleeping until 10:30 on Saturday morning!! I can't remember the last time I slept that late!

My temp has been fluctuating up and down from 98.2 to 99.4 over the past couple days - I am usually pretty stable around 98.4. I am nauseated; this started yesterday AM. It just hit me out of nowhere. I didn't actually throw up, haven't yet, but I feel like I need to a lot... I'm treating it like morning sickness again, trying to stay hydrated and eat small meals and not overfill my stomach - but everything I eat seems to upset my stomach and set it churning.

Kenneth was getting pretty worried about me by yesterday evening, and made me promise to call my OB today. I did and told them all the little things going on, but as I suspected they aren't concerned. Said its all pretty normal stuff at this point and just to pay attention to contractions/pain and get to the hospital when they're in a pattern 5-7 minutes apart. I am sitting on my balance ball at work again today and holy moly I'm feeling a LOT of pressure... have been most of the day, and had a few contractions so far. Mostly it happens when I stand up and move around a little, no real contractions while I'm sitting so I know its not anything "real" yet - but I am sure that there has been some cervical progress over the past couple days and am SO curious to hear what I'm at come our Thursday appointment!

My ears are feeling stuffy again today after not bothering me too much for a little while so I'm back to trying to push lots of fluids and I guess that's about all I can do at this point!

I've been having quite a bit of abdominal tightness and Baby S seems a little quieter today than normal - she's been active over the past hour or so, but smaller movements - more thumps and bumps then kicks and punches...

Today is passing quickly, though I think I might help it pass even a little quicker by going for a quick nap - I'm feeling pretty worn out this afternoon... sort of running on auto-pilot it feels!

36w1d - 27 days to go!

Here's me at 36 weeks last night! Belly seems to be growing noticeably now!

I started my day with a little excitement, but am feeling much better now! I started feeling like my heart was racing when I was about 15-20 minutes from arriving at the office this morning. I tried to take lots of calming breaths and focus on staying calm, and my heart was still pounding when I got into the office and I wasn't feeling well at all, so I went and laid down in our lounge for about a half hour. I think I fell asleep for a few minutes, but mostly I just tried to lay still and be quiet and breath. My heart calmed down and I felt better after awhile and when I got up I started drinking LOTS of water in hopes of helping clear out my system - and I didn't know what else to do! I've felt a little light headed all day, but no more heart racing episodes thankfully! That is a scary feeling and I don't like it at all! I wish I knew why it happened so I could prevent it.

I stayed pretty busy this morning with work and right around noon Kenneth showed up (after his chiro appointment) and we went to lunch at The Derby. We sat outside - it was cool in the shade but nice and that restaurant is VERY smoky so there was no way I was sitting inside! I got a yummy Cuban sandwich and I love their french fries! We chatted some about the coming year and trying to figure out what all we're doing with Kenneth's school and the Marine Corps - he has some training coming up that he needs to go to that interferes with the graduation schedule we thought he'd be on, so he may be post-poning graduation a little as long as we can figure out his Marine Corps schedule to make it all work. I know there are a lot of variables for next year and I'm looking forward to when we have somewhat of a game plan to look forward to! This change in plans probably affects the trip I was planning to Ireland with my brother and sister too. It looks like Kenneth will be gone to training when I was going to go on the trip which means I need to be home to be with Kent unless it is possible someone here could stay with Kent for a week or so, but I don't want to count on that.

I am glad its Friday and very ready for a quiet weekend home, though I'm trying to convince Kenneth we need some sort of "date" this weekend since we haven't had much alone time together lately! Even if we just go for coffee or something together... :) Mostly I think we both want to take it easy and relax - he's still tired from drill last weekend and I'm still tired from Six Flags last weekend! :) We're going to be lazy bums, I think!

36 Weeks - 28 Days to Go!

How your baby's growing:

Your baby is still packing on the pounds — at the rate of about an ounce a day. She now weighs almost 6 pounds (like a crenshaw melon) and is more than 18 1/2 inches long. She's shedding most of the downy covering of hair that covered her body as well as the vernix caseosa, the waxy substance that covered and protected her skin during her nine-month amniotic bath. Your baby swallows both of these substances, along with other secretions, resulting in a blackish mixture, called meconium, will form the contents of her first bowel movement.

At the end of this week, your baby will be considered full-term. (Full-term is 37 to 42 weeks; babies born before 37 weeks are pre-term and those born after 42 are post-term.) Most likely she's in a head-down position. But if she isn't, your practitioner may suggest scheduling an "external cephalic version," which is a fancy way of saying she'll try to coax your baby into a head-down position by manipulating her from the outside of your belly.
Yippee!! 36 weeks is here! I saw Dr. Lee yesterday and everything went great at our appointment; my weight gain is steady - down a little from last week (but I had a big jump last week, so it was good it came back down a little), BP is 110/60, and no protein in my urine. Miss S's heartbeat sounds beautiful and my belly measured right on track. Dr. Lee took a couple cultures to be sent out and I had labwork done as well. He did an internal check and I am about 1.5-2 cm dilated and 50% effaced! I was only dilated to a 2 and not effaced at all at our 38 week appointment with Fiona, so my cervix is a little ahead of the game compared to last time! We'll see if there are any changes after our appointment next week - that will probably be more telling than anything else. I'm having a decent amount of pressure today, off and on.

I keep thinking there's no real reason for her to come early, but I also keep wondering if I'll make it much more than 2 more weeks at this point. We shall see!

It was good to rest yesterday; I'm still feeling pretty wiped today but not nearly as much as yesterday. I got a LOT of extra sleep yesterday and still slept like a rock last night which I was thankful for. I was worried with all the napping I did that I wouldn't be able to sleep well last night.

I guess that's the update! Going to eat some breakfast and hope today passes quickly and peacefully! :)

29 Days to Go! 35w6d

I've been feeling "off" ever since this past weekend. I think either its just a coincidence with timing, or I overdid it at Six Flags. In any event, I've felt icky since Monday; completely exhausted and have been running a low grade fever off and on since last night. TMI alert, but I have had a fair amount of mucous discharge throughout this pregnancy but had more than normal yesterday - not sure if (again) it was a coincidence or possibly part of my mucous plug! Last time I started loosing it about 2 weeks before I delivered if I remember right.

We have our OB check up this afternoon and I am looking forward to hearing how everything looks and if I'm dilated at all, and getting the cultures and labwork done to make sure all is well and lined up for baby day! I will ask whoever I see today about how I've been feeling and see if there's anything besides rest and fluids that are recommended. They'll probably just tell me things to look out for, but I don't think there's much more I can do/not do at this point to help with the feeling "off/tired" right now. I think its just about that time in the pregnancy!

I need to work on drinking more water today - I slept so much this morning I haven't really been awake much to drink anything and I know water is ALWAYS a good thing especially when I'm not feeling myself.

I took a day off from work today to rest, and slept for over 2 hours this morning after Kenneth went to his first class; he came home for lunch and I fixed sandwiches and we rested while he was home. I think I'm going to take another nap and then get ready for the appointment. Maybe after all this napping I will be somewhat closer to being "caught up" and not feeling quite so tired! Fingers crossed!!

1 Month / 31 Days 'Til Due Date! :) 35w4d

It's October 18th, so we're "OFFICIALLY" 1 month from our due date! Yippee!! I cannot wait for the next 2 weeks to fly by and be full term and into November! I am SOOO stinkin' excited to be getting so close to Miss S's arrival!!

I started a guessing game here for anyone who wants to play along:! I can't wait to be able to plug in the details when she finally gets here. :)

I am very much looking forward to my chiro appointment tomorrow, and then my first internal check on Wednesday for our 36 week appointment!! I can't wait to hear if I'm dilated at all and how things look! I know she's head down, and have felt a lot of tenderness/soreness and some pressure down low so I am sure there is probably at least some progress, but I'm not expecting more than a "loose 1" at this point. We'll see!

Kent, myself and our friend Sherry spent 8 hours at Six Flags yesterday, we walked something like 8 miles over the course of the day and had a blast! They rode the rides together and I just had fun watching them, enjoying conversation and taking lots of pictures! :) It is Fright Fest time, and Kent's FAVORITE part was definitely the Haunted House and then all the characters that came out in the evening. The make up on a lot of them was VERY impressive, and some of them were REALLY good in character. I think Kent was disappointed none of them tried to scare him, but they were going after people who either already looked freaked out or didn't see them coming, and he wasn't scared and was too observant for anyone to sneak up on him since he was constantly on the look out for them! :) They got to ride quite a few things, and especially by the evening the lines had really shortened so we probably got the most rides in those last couple hours. They did Goliath first, which was good because the lines for Goliath, Batman and Superman stayed REALLY long all day long - we didn't get to do Batman or Superman but they both agreed they'll have to try to do those first next time we come back. :) I'm really glad everyone had a good time, and it felt good to get out and be active and walk around so much. I had quite a few Braxton Hicks and mixed in were a couple real contractions which felt WAY different - so it was a good reminder of what I'm actually looking for. They were much lower, much more intense and painful and I was having a shooting pain down the back of my leg with those which was weird. I'll ask the chiro and the OB about that at my appointments this week and see if that's normal, and if not if there's anything I can or should do now to get it fixed; I'm assuming a nerve must have been getting compressed somehow during the contraction which is weird.

Miss S was pretty quiet most of the day yesterday, but she was super active once I got home and stopped moving around and she's been pretty wiggly this morning! :)

I'm having a bit of back pressure/pain and some cramps on the low left side of my stomach this morning. Not sure what it's from, but its a little annoying! I'm exhausted after our long day yesterday and am thinking about heading home after our admin lunch meeting today unless something comes up and they need me to stay. I could really, really use a good nap and definitely a good night of sleep!

Your pregnancy: 35 weeks

How your baby's growing:

Your baby doesn't have much room to maneuver now that he's over 18 inches long and tips the scales at 5 1/4 pounds (pick up a honeydew melon). Because it's so snug in your womb, he isn't likely to be doing somersaults anymore, but the number of times he kicks should remain about the same. His kidneys are fully developed now, and his liver can process some waste products. Most of his basic physical development is now complete — he'll spend the next few weeks putting on weight.
I started the day with a belly picture!! Here I am at 35 weeks!

My IM and met up this morning at 11:30 for our meeting with the Hospital staff where we had a chance to ask questions and answer questions and then we got a tour of L&D and the post-partum rooms which was great! They have beautiful jet tubs that I can labor in that I'm really, REALLY hoping to take advantage of this time! I need to pack accordingly and hope between Kenneth and my IM they'll help me get to the tub if the intensity takes my breath away like it did last time! It was a great meeting and I know I feel really confident that the hospital is very supportive and willing to do what it takes to make this a good experience for everyone which was wonderful!

After our Hospital meeting we went to lunch at O'Charleys and I enjoyed a DELICIOUS California Chicken salad that was loaded with yummy grilled chicken, candied pecans, perfectly fresh strawberries and mandarin oranges with a great balsamic vinegar. I haven't ordered anything quite like it before and I really enjoyed it - even if I only ate about 1/4 of it; geez they pack those bowls FULL!!

After lunch we split up and both ran some errands; I'd been wanting a pair of leggings to go with my maternity dresses so I can wear them for the next few weeks now that its cooling off, and of course I found a couple other things I "needed" too! I know I shouldn't really be spending money on maternity clothes at this point, but they had the secret belly panels that are SO comfortable and the jeans and capris I found looked great on and were so comfy!! I know I'll be prego at least once more so I figured I will definitely get use out of them, whether its now or a little later. :)

We met back up at 3:00 at the OB's office for our ultrasound where we got to see Miss S being incredibly adorable with her hand over her face saying "NO PICTURES PLEASE"! :D She is measuring right on track and her heartbeat sounded perfect in the low 160's.

After the ultrasound we waited for awhile for our 3:40 appointment with the midwife and finally got taken back at about 4:20! They were a little frazzled it seemed, and it took awhile to get back to the actual room! But eventually we did, after hearing all my vitals were good. The midwife measured my belly and said it was right on track and we talked for a couple minutes and were told next week's appointment will start with the internal checks and I'll have the standard cultures done to check for Strep B and 2 STDs. I can't believe its time for that!!! WOO HOOO!!

I think the rest of this month is really going to fly by, and we'll be full term in no time and then counting down to this sweet pumpkin's arrival!! :)

34w3d - 39 days to go!!

We're now under 40 days 'til our due date!! I'm SO excited and can't wait to see Miss S with her family!! Knowing it will be here in about a month just continues to blow my mind!

I think I'm going to try to pack my hospital bag next weekend, though I remember after last time I won't need that much which will make it quick! Mainly just my bathroom supplies and a comfy pair of pajamas to wear while I'm there and a going home change of clothes. It was such a short stay last time I didn't really need much of anything else. I will definitely take a notebook just in case I get time to jot down some thoughts and make sure I remember details too. :)

Kenneth woke me up with breakfast in bed yesterday which was SUPER sweet! It was a wonderful way to wake up! Then I went with him to Atlanta for his chiro appointment, and we ran some errands on the way home. We stopped at La Z Boy and looked at recliners and couches. Our couch is 7 years old now, and has held up well, but we've really been wanting a recliner chair, so we're considering the idea of replacing the couch with one that has the recliner chairs in it. I really liked one particular model. However, we're also considering hard wood floors for the living room and hallway, and considering a shed for the backyard to get the lawn equipment out of the garage. So, we have to prioritize and go from there. Over the years we've continually put off investments in the house because we really don't know how much longer we'll be here. Esepcially with Kenneth's graduation date approaching (he got the word that his graduation petition was approved, so we can definitely plan on it - yay!!) in May of next year, we're pretty sure we'll be relocating for whatever job he takes shortly after that date. So, some decisions continue to sort of get pushed to the back because of that. I am also taking a big trip in late March/early April with my brother and sister to Ireland, so that has to be counted in there too! Lots of planning and decision making! I'm excited for the coming year though, it will definitely be full of changes for us all.

I baked up scones for breakfast this morning which were great! I've been craving them for awhile now, so it was nice to finally get to enjoy them. I am going to bake some cookies today too! I found a "Maple Brown Sugar Granola Cookie" recipe on the back of a box of Granola I'd bought awhile back, and think it sounds like a great way to use up the granola since no one has really been eating it as cereal, and get to do some baking and make some cookies which despite Kenneth's protests he seems to really want to have available! :)

So, I'm looking forward to a restful afternoon and hopefully a nap too. Between the weather and pregnancy, I've been having a lot of congestion in my head lately and it's leaving me feeling kinda icky today. My ears are congested a lot lately, but on top of that I'm having sinus pressure between my eyes this morning too and a nap just sounds really good!

Your pregnancy: 34 weeks

How your baby's growing:

Your baby now weighs about 4 3/4 pounds (like your average cantaloupe) and is almost 18 inches long. Her fat layers — which will help regulate her body temperature once she's born — are filling her out, making her rounder. Her skin is also smoother than ever. Her central nervous system is maturing and her lungs are continuing to mature as well. If you've been nervous about preterm labor, you'll be happy to know that babies born between 34 and 37 weeks who have no other health problems generally do fine. They may need a short stay in the neonatal nursery and may have a few short-term health issues, but in the long run, they usually do as well as full-term babies.
Woo hoo! 34 weeks today! :) Time is zipping right along! I can't wait for our appointment next Thursday and getting to peek in on Miss S again - I am super curious to hear how big she is and what my cervix looks like.

I think we'll get through the month of October with nothing too exciting happening, and then I am going to be ready for baby day!! :D

Things have been busy at work making the days pass quickly, and it always seems like the evenings and weekends just fly by - I can't remember my weekends half the time! I need some time to just "be" so things can slow down a little! I think it only just gets more hectic from here, I'm slowly realizing that... as Kent gets older, he is sort of in and out of the house so I don't see him as much when I am home, and he spends a lot of his evenings working on assignments and homework (they're working on "brochures" for countries that have been assigned to them right now - we did a bunch of fact finding on Italy last night!) and when he's done with that, he wants to be outside with friends or he's reading in his room... sigh... he's growing up and I feel like I miss him already!!

Kenneth's school load keeps him very, very busy - I helped him for hours last night doing data entry on his math problems that he wrote out by hand. That stuff hurts my head - I will be SO happy for him when this semester is over and he only has 1 left! I think this is the last of the heavy duty math courses too. (Fingers crossed)!

All is going well with the pregnancy - I've had quite a bit of head congestion, all in my ears that is annoying, but not really associated with anything else; I'm not sick or anything, just have a "stuffy" head! A few leg cramps this week that woke me up more than I would have liked, and there were a few days where it felt like Miss "S" was lodged in my lungs, but she seems to have dropped back down as of the last couple days. She's been so active! With how big she's getting, I feel all her little wiggles, her hiccups, her pushes and kicks. She's constantly entertaining me! :)
